While impressing diners with its food, service and quirky, neo-baroque decor, Cafe La Boheme has also posted impressive business statistics. Based on reports from major purveyors and his own reading of the local tablecloth-dining scene, "I think we're doing the best in L.A. right now," boasted general manager Tom Cardenas, the Yokohama native son of a Japanese mother and a Mexican-American father.
